Cargo to the UK from Lagos

Cargo from Nigeria to the UK

Our office is in Ikorodu. Drop off free, or we collect from anywhere in Lagos for an extra charge.

Savoy Snowball is a Lagos company. Our office sits on Sagamu Road in Ikorodu, and it is where every shipment we send to the UK is weighed, logged and consolidated.

If you are in Ikorodu or along the Sagamu Road corridor, dropping off is free and always the cheapest option. If you are in Ikeja, Lekki, Victoria Island, Surulere or anywhere else across Lagos, the journey to Ikorodu is long enough that most customers ask us to collect instead. We do, for an additional charge.

How it works

  1. Bring your cargo to the office on Sagamu Road, or ask us to collect it from you.
  2. We weigh it, log it against your name and confirm the price before anything moves.
  3. It is consolidated with other UK-bound cargo at the same office.
  4. It flies to the UK, clears customs, and is delivered to your recipient.

Worth knowing

  • Finding us

We are at Prince Place Event and Bar, 124 Sagamu Road — opposite Model Nursery and Primary School, beside GB Supermarket. The office sits inside the venue, so look for the building rather than a shopfront.

  • If you are not in Ikorodu

Ikeja is around 30km away and Victoria Island around 40km, through Lagos traffic. Most customers outside the Ikorodu corridor ask us to collect rather than making that journey twice.

  • Someone else can drop off for you

Ask them to bring your name and phone number so the shipment is logged against you, and make sure you know what is in the boxes.

What it costs

Cargo is priced per kilogram, and the rate falls as the shipment gets heavier. Tell us what you are sending and we confirm the price before anything moves.

Before you send

UK rules on what may be imported from Nigeria are stricter than most senders expect. Meat and dairy are banned outright, dried fish is allowed up to 20kg per person, and most fresh produce needs a plant health certificate.

Check your list on what you can and cannot send, or search any single item on the food cargo page.

Common questions

Where is your Lagos office?
Prince Place Event and Bar, 124 Sagamu Road, Ikorodu — opposite Model Nursery and Primary School, beside GB Supermarket. Drop-off there is free.
Do you collect from anywhere in Lagos?
Yes, for an additional charge that depends on where you are. Ikeja, Lekki, Victoria Island, Surulere, Yaba and the rest of the metro area are all covered.
Is it cheaper to drop off than to be collected?
Always. Drop-off at the Ikorodu office is free, and collection adds a charge wherever you are.
Can I see where my cargo is kept?
Yes. It is one of the reasons we are worth visiting rather than messaging — you can see the office, the scales and who is handling your things.

Weight and size (optional — helps us quote accurately)
Light but bulky cargo is charged on the space it takes up, so sizes help.

Sending food? Meat and dairy cannot enter the UK from Nigeria. Dried fish is fine up to 20kg. Check your list first.
