Who we are and where we are
Savoy Snowball Service Ltd is a freight forwarder based in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. We send cargo, parcels and personal belongings in one direction only — from Nigeria to the United Kingdom.
Our office is at Prince Place Event and Bar, 124 Sagamu Road, in Ikorodu. Opposite Model Nursery and Primary School, beside GB Supermarket.
It is where every shipment is weighed, logged and consolidated before it flies. You can drop off there for free during opening hours, and you are welcome to see where your cargo is handled. If you are elsewhere in Lagos, or in Abuja or Port Harcourt, we collect from you for an additional charge.
At the UK end, cargo can be collected from GSR Self Storage, Chequers Lane, Dagenham RM9 6PR — by appointment only. That is a storage unit rather than a staffed office, so collections there are arranged in advance.
Plenty of companies ship in both directions. We do not, and it is deliberate. Running one corridor means we know the UK import rules that apply to what our customers actually send, we know which items get stopped, and we are not spreading attention across two sets of regulations.
Being in Lagos matters for the same reason. We are at the end where your cargo starts, so you can walk in, ask a question and get an answer from the person who will handle your boxes.
We price your shipment, not a rate card
Most people describe what they are sending in items rather than kilograms. Tell us the items, and we weigh it and confirm the price before anything moves.
We tell you what you cannot send, before you pay
UK rules on meat, dairy and fresh produce are stricter than most senders expect. We would rather turn an item away at our counter than have your cargo destroyed at the border.
We log what goes into every consignment
Your shipment travels with other people's. Knowing what is in each box is what protects the whole consignment, and it is why we ask.
We say when someone else is the better choice
For a document or a very light urgent parcel, a courier will beat us on price and speed. We will tell you so.
What we will not carry is set out in full on what you can and cannot send. The short version is meat, dairy and most fresh produce, because UK law does not allow them in from Nigeria.
The fastest way to reach us is WhatsApp, and the honest reason is that most enquiries are a list of items and a question about whether we can carry them. That is quicker to answer in a message than on a call.
