Message us and we will tell you exactly where your cargo is. We
do not run a reference-number tracker, and we would rather tell you that than
give you a box that returns nothing.
Consolidated cargo does not work like a courier parcel. Your shipment travels as
part of a larger consignment, so the consignment has a status rather than each
box. That shared journey is what makes it roughly half the price of DHL.
Getting an update
Send us any of the following and we can find your shipment:
- The name the shipment was sent under
- The phone number used when booking
- Roughly when it was dropped off or collected
- What is in it — "two bags of garri and a carton of fish" is enough
Ask on WhatsApp +234 701 922 1269
WhatsApp is genuinely faster for this. Finding a shipment usually means checking a
name against a consignment list, which is quicker to do in a message than on a call.
The stages your cargo goes through
Knowing which stage you are at explains most of what people want to know. We have not
put timings against these, because ours are not published yet and inventing them
would be worse than leaving them out.
- 1 Received Your cargo is at our Ikorodu office. It has been weighed, logged against your name and priced.
- 2 Waiting to consolidate It is held with other UK-bound cargo until there is enough to make up a consignment. This is the stage that makes consolidated cargo cheaper than a courier, and it is also the stage where most of the waiting happens.
- 3 In transit The consignment has left Nigeria and is on its way to the UK.
- 4 Customs The consignment is being cleared for entry. How long this takes is decided by Border Force, not by us, and it is the stage nobody can give you a firm date for.
- 5 Out for delivery or ready to collect We contact your recipient to arrange a delivery time, or to book a collection slot in Dagenham.
If it is taking longer than you expected
In our experience it is almost always one of these four:
-
The consignment has not filled yet
Consolidated cargo waits for enough shipments to make up a load. A quiet week means a longer wait. Ask us and we will tell you where the consignment stands.
-
It is held at customs
Nothing moves until it clears. Anyone who promises you a date for this is guessing.
-
We cannot reach the recipient
The most common cause of a delay at the UK end, and the easiest to prevent. Give us a UK number that actually gets answered.
-
Something in the shipment was queried
Usually food. This is why we ask what is in your boxes before they travel.
None of them are improved by waiting quietly. Ask us, and we will tell you which one
it is rather than giving you a date we cannot stand behind.
Common questions
- How do I track a shipment from Nigeria to the UK?
- Message us with the name the shipment was sent under and roughly when it was dropped off, and we will tell you exactly which stage it is at. Consolidated cargo does not have parcel-by-parcel tracking the way a courier does, because your shipment travels as part of a larger consignment.
- Why can I not track consolidated cargo like a DHL parcel?
- A courier moves your box on its own through a scanned network, so every handover generates an update. Consolidated cargo travels as part of one large consignment, so the consignment has a status rather than each box. That shared journey is exactly what makes it around half the price.
- My shipment seems to be taking a long time. Why?
- Usually one of four things: the consignment has not filled yet, it is held at customs, we cannot reach the recipient, or something in the shipment was queried. Ask us and we will tell you which, honestly.
- Can you tell me exactly what day it will arrive?
- Not to the day, and we would rather say so. Customs clearance is decided by Border Force and cannot be predicted. We can tell you what stage your cargo is at and what usually happens next.
